This is the first edition published in 1987 by Viking Press, New York. It has a small adhesive tear on the hard cover and a black marker trace on the page ends. Otherwise VERY GOOD condition. Protected in archival mylar.
The title of this work refers to the western banks of the Nile which in Egyptian mythology is the land of the dead. Burroughs is peering into the afterlife in his customary hallucinatory, occultists, superstitious way.
