Incredible limited and signed edition of an extremely rare text by Henry Miller, published by John Kidis, 1950. Writing to his childhood, and lifelong, friend Emil Schnellock, a painter in New York, the text was written in 1939 and was originally destined to be a private text for Emil.
Miller was very taken by his friendships, and began to write “private” , handwritten books for his closest. This included George Seferis and here as published, Emil Schnellock. An ode to friendship which remains exrtremely personal and of great value.
